
Attorney Susan C. McGill is a dedicated South Carolina attorney born and raised in Marion, South Carolina. The daughter of Sam McGill and Doris Williams McGill, she brings deep local roots and a strong commitment to serving her community.
Ms. McGill graduated from Marion High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina. She attended law school in North Carolina and earned her Juris Doctor in December of 2012. She was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2013 and South Carolina Bar in 2014.
Her legal career includes service as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Thomas A. Russo (Ret.) and work with a private law firm in Rock Hill, South Carolina. After returning to the Pee Dee region, Ms. McGill joined the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office, where she prosecuted a wide range of cases in both Magistrate Court and General Sessions Court, including violent and serious criminal offenses. She is currently employed with Finklea, Hendrick and Blake, LLC in Florence, SC.
Ms. McGill is active in several professional organizations. She is the past president of the Florence County Bar Association and a member of the Marion County Bar Association, Florence County Bar Association, and the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. In 2023, she was recognized as Star of the Quarter by the South Carolina Bar. She has also appeared on the Armstrong Williams Show multiple times to provide legal insight on current issues. Her community involvement includes serving on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of the Pee Dee Area and the Florence Arts Alliance.
A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Omicron Omicron Omega Chapter in Marion, South Carolina. In 2026, she received a Leadership Award from Practical Purpose Solutions. In 2024, she was honored as Sister of the Year for her dedication to service and civic engagement.
Ms. McGill is married to Jonathan Pressley and is an member of Lamb’s Chapel Christian Center in Florence, South Carolina, where she serves as a deaconess and lead usher. She is also a passionate University of South Carolina Gamecock fan and enjoys attending games with her husband.
